Website terms

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using the Growth Compass Reentry Initiative website, making one-time or recurring contributions, using contact forms and educational materials, and receiving related SMS notifications.

1. Acceptance Of These Terms

By using this website, submitting a contact form, accessing Growth Compass Reentry Initiative online materials, making a one-time or recurring contribution, or opting in to receive related text messages, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the website, submit information, or complete a contribution through it.

2. Who We Are

Growth Compass Reentry Initiative, Inc. is a Florida not-for-profit organization focused on reentry readiness, cognitive intervention programming, transition planning, and community reintegration support. References to "Growth Compass," "we," "us," or "our" mean Growth Compass Reentry Initiative, Inc.

3. Educational And Support Purpose

Information on this website and in related course communications is provided for educational, planning, nonprofit, and support purposes. It is not legal advice, medical advice, mental-health treatment, emergency response, supervision reporting, or a guarantee of any specific outcome.

If you are in immediate danger or believe someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. If you are thinking about suicide or experiencing emotional crisis, call or text 988.

4. Contact Forms And Communications

You may use the website contact form to send general questions, partnership inquiries, pilot inquiries, funding conversations, and related messages. You agree to provide accurate information and not to submit false, misleading, unlawful, abusive, or unauthorized content.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, medical records, financial account information, passwords, confidential legal facts, or highly sensitive personal information through public forms.

5. SMS And Mobile Messaging

Growth Compass may send SMS messages only to users, participants, or designated administrators who opt in through a Growth Compass web form, online course form, or admin settings page. Messages may include course-related notifications, live check-in confirmations, support messages, and safety/admin alert notifications related to the online course.

SMS consent is optional and is collected only through Growth Compass-controlled online forms. Consent is not collected verbally, on paper, from purchased lists, or by third parties. The form explains the messaging purpose before the person submits their mobile number and consent.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages. Reply HELP for help. Opting out of SMS may limit our ability to send text alerts, but it does not prevent us from contacting you through other appropriate channels when needed.

SMS is not an emergency service. Do not rely on text messaging for urgent crisis response, immediate safety intervention, legal reporting, medical care, or mental-health crisis support.

6. Privacy

Use of this website and related communications is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, protect, and respond to personal information.

7. Contributions And Payment Processing

Contributions made through this website are voluntary payments made directly to Growth Compass in support of its reentry education, cognitive intervention programming, employment readiness, community partnerships, and practical reintegration mission. Unless Growth Compass expressly states otherwise in writing, no goods, services, rewards, ownership interests, investment returns, or other benefits are provided in exchange for a contribution.

Contribution amounts and billing terms are shown in United States dollars before payment is submitted. By completing checkout, you confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method and authorize the charge shown on the payment page. You agree to provide accurate contact and payment information and not to use a payment method fraudulently or without the account holder's permission.

Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout. When Stripe-hosted Checkout is used, Stripe handles the full payment-card details under its own terms and privacy practices; Growth Compass does not receive the full card number. Growth Compass may decline, return, or restrict a contribution when reasonably necessary to comply with law, payment-network rules, organizational policy, or fraud and security controls.

8. Monthly Mission Support And Cancellation

If you select monthly mission support, you authorize the contribution amount shown at checkout to be charged to your selected payment method each month until you cancel, the payment method fails, or the recurring arrangement otherwise ends. Growth Compass will not increase the authorized amount or change the billing frequency without obtaining new authorization.

You may cancel future monthly charges at any time by using a cancellation method made available through the website or payment portal, or by emailing support@growthcompassreentryinitiative.org. Include the contributor's name and the email address used for the transaction, but do not send a full card number, bank-account number, password, or other sensitive payment information. Growth Compass will process cancellation requests promptly.

Cancellation stops future recurring charges after it is processed. It does not automatically refund contributions charged before cancellation. If another charge occurs after a timely cancellation request, contact the support email above so the transaction can be reviewed.

9. Refunds And Payment Problems

Because contributed funds may be committed to the mission once received, completed contributions are generally final. Growth Compass will nevertheless review requests involving a duplicate or incorrect charge, an unauthorized transaction, a technical processing error, a charge occurring after a timely cancellation request, or another circumstance in which a refund is required by law.

Send refund or payment questions promptly to support@growthcompassreentryinitiative.org. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when reasonably possible. The time required for a credit to appear is controlled by the payment processor, card network, and contributor's financial institution. Contacting Growth Compass first may allow an issue to be resolved quickly, but it does not waive any rights available under applicable law.

10. Tax Status And Contribution Acknowledgments

Growth Compass Reentry Initiative, Inc. is a Florida not-for-profit corporation and is registered for charitable solicitation in Florida under Registration Number CH83902. Registration does not imply endorsement, approval, or recommendation by the State of Florida.

Unless and until federal recognition is received and verified, Growth Compass does not represent that contributions are deductible as charitable contributions for federal income-tax purposes. A Stripe payment confirmation or Growth Compass acknowledgment documents the transaction but is not tax advice and does not guarantee deductibility. Contributors should consult their own tax adviser regarding their individual circumstances. If the organization's federal status changes, Growth Compass may update this section and its acknowledgment practices prospectively.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the website, forms, course tools, or communications to:
